Ludy's started back in 1994 when Gourmet Chef Paul "Ludy" Ludovina returned to his hometown of Woodland with aspirations of opening a BBQ Joint. For the past 15 years, Ludy's has been serving the Sacramento Metropolitan area and catering the better part of Northern California with our home-style BBQ and scratch-made sides.

Don't make the mistake of writing Ludy's off as just another BBQ joint, though; we cater more than a dozen weddings a year, with menus ranging from our signature Tri-Tip and BBQ Chicken to Prime Rib and Chicken Marsala.

We cater all over California, from Fresno to Mt. Shasta, San Francisco to Reno, NV. We specialize in custom catering, which means we make everything to YOUR specifications. 100% Green Products? You got it. China, silverware, and cloth napkins? We can handle it.

  We do! We offer a 120% guarantee--if you're not completely satisfied with our service, you have the right to demand your money back and receive 20% off a future catering with us.
• Do you provide servers?
  On request--call for more information about all the catering extras we offer!
• Do you provide set up and take down?
  Set up is included in the drop-off price; additionally, take down is included in full-service pricing.
• How much is the deposit?
  None!
• What is your delivery charge?
  For Drop-Off deliveries, our delivery fee is $15 for Woodland, and $45 for deliveries outside the city limits.
• What is the average cost per person?
  Depending on the type of service you're looking for, our prices range from $13.49 per person (for drop off catering) to $19.99 per person (for our full-service Prime Rib dinner).
• What is the minimum and maximum number of guests you provide service for?
  We can accommodate any party, regardless of size. Any time, any where, 15 to 15,000.
• Do you have a sample menu?
  Our most popular dish is easily our Chicken Marsala (herbed chicken breast served in a Marsala wine sauce and topped with mushrooms) and Tri-Tip (smoked for six hours, sliced generously), with green salad and Scalloped Potatoes on the side.
• Can we sample the food first?
  Of course! If you have a party coming up, just give our catering department a call and Judy, our Catering Director, will set you up with a complimentary tasting.
• What cuisine(s) do you specialize in?
  Our specialty is Texas Style BBQ, but our Italian and Mexican menus have also become the delight of many of our customers.
• What type of cuisine do you offer?
  Out typical offerings include Mexican, Italian, and BBQ, but we're capable of handling anything you throw at us--if you want something you don't see on our menus, feel free to ask, and we'll see what we can do to accommodate you.
• What type of service do you offer? (Sit down, buffet, drop-off, etc.)
  We offer a full range of services, including pick-up, drop-off, and full-service catering. Our caterings are set up buffet style unless otherwise specified.
• How much advance notice do you need to fulfill a catering order?
  Ludy's is notorious for throwing together a party at the last second for a client on the run. We ask for 24-hour notice on drop-off catering--although if that's not possible, give us a call anyway--and five days notice for full-service catering.
• Do you offer beverage service or full bar?
  We can provide soft drinks, beer and wine for your event. We also offer bartending service for any drinks you may need served.
• What are your maximum and minumum number of guests you are able to service?
  Our owner Paul loves to brag that we can serve any party, be it a 15 person family event or a convention hall of 15,000.
