-
Do you have a customer satisfaction or refund policy?
Yes, we have a guarantee of customer satisfaction. Whenever possible, we show our clients their pictures at the session and they tell us which pictures they like the best. There is never an unhappy client. We've been in business for 32 years without a single letter from the BBB. -
What are your qualifications? Have you been professionally trained or certified?
I am a classically trained photographer who used to own the largest studio in the Pacific Northwest, with a minimum of 30 photographers on my staff, and I did the final training for them all. -
What are your rates?
It depends upon the assignment, but if you check our website, we have printed price lists for virtually all of our services. Our standard packages range from $67.50 to $249.95, which includes the sitting, photographer, and photographs. We have a full indoor studio, but also have an incredible private outdoor Portrait Park. Also, no extra charge for clothing changes. -
Do you require a deposit?
No. Only half of the package is due when we do the photography, with the remaining half due when you receive your proofs or final CD. -
What packages do you offer?
Portrait packages start at $67.50 and that includes taking at least 25 images from which to choose and pictures to keep, too. We also offer 'digital packages' where clients choose from at least that many images, but the customer will receive every picture they liked on a CD with the unrestricted Right to Reproduce conferred to them. -
How many pictures do you take?
However many the client needs to successfully accomplish their desires. We generally take 25-35 pictures per portrait session, but will take more if necessary. -
Can I keep the negatives?
Although we can shoot negative film, we generally shoot digital these days. But, the question really is: Can the client own their imagery? The answer is YES. We often give clients a CD with all of their pictures. -
What is your photographic style?
Whatever the client wants. We are generally more 'traditional', but we're capable of producing 'edgy' imagery, too. -
Do you provide black and white photography?
Certainly. We can convert any color image into either B&W or sepia. -
Do you use digital or film?
Mostly digital, but we can shoot film, if desired. -
Can I see examples of your work?
Of course. We have the largest website of any studio in the Northwest. We have hundreds of Portait and Senior Portrait pictures to view. -
How far are you willing to travel?
Anywhere you want us. No limits. -
How quickly will I receive my prints?
As soon as you need them. We never miss a deadline. For portraits, without a 'rush' mentality, it's normally 3-7 days. -
What makes you different from other photographers?
Personalized service and skill. We are masters in posing techniques, making every client comfortable. We take our time, never scheduling other photo assignments within 90 minutes of any portrait session. No charge for clothing changes or make-up time. But, we take it a step beyond that and Photoshop EVERY image afterwards to make each picture as perfect as possible. -
What are your qualifications? Have you been professionally trained or certified?
I am a classically trained photographer who used to own the largest studio in the Pacific Northwest, with a minimum of 30 photographers on my staff, and I did the final training for them all. -
What packages do you offer? What are your rates?
We tailor time/coverage for weddings, so that brides are only paying for what they need and nothing more. Limited coverage begins at $297.50, which includes photo time, pictures, and travel. Full coverage (4 hours of photo time, keeping 100-150 pictures on pro portrait paper, album, $150 in reprints, a 'details' meeting, and travel costs $897.50 for off-season and $997.50 for prime. -
Do you require a deposit?
We ask for $185 to book the date, and that amount applies to the package, of course. Then HALF of the remaining balance is due when we do the 'details meeting' about a week prior to the wedding. The final payment isn't payable until you receive your album of pictures following the wedding. -
How many pictures do you take?
The package starts with 100 - 150 pictures taken/received, but the client can order as many as desired. -
Can I keep the negatives?
Most weddings these days are photographed digitally, but we can provide the bride with a CD with all of the images, as part of the $150 reprint inclusion, or as an extra. Images can also be posted online for friends and family to view, regardless of whether they attended the wedding or not. -
How many weddings have you photographed?
Over 1,200 without a single unhappy bride. -
What is your photographic style?
Typically, more 'traditional', but we can photograph your wedding in any style you wish, including very candid. Because we spend the time with you in advance of the wedding, we'll know exactly the style you like. -
Do you provide black and white photography?
Of course. We can convert any color image into either B&W or sepia. -
Do you use digital or film?
Primarily digital these days. However, we can use film, if desired. -
Can I see examples of your work?
Of course. Our website has about 1,300 pictures up, with weddings accounting for about 200. We also have samples of Engagement Pictures and location portraiture. Complete pricing and service information is given there, too. -
How far are you willing to travel?
Anywhere. Although based in Portland, we travel the entire NW. Last year, we did weddings in Grants Pass, Bend, Yachats, and Central Washington. In the past, we have been hired to do weddings in Chicago, Phoenix, and NW Washington. -
How quickly will I receive my prints?
Usually 3-4 weeks. -
What makes you different from other photographers?
Personalized service and skill. We have a 'details meeting' with the bride, prior to wedding day. We won't waste her time/money on pictures she doesn?t want. It also makes for much more time-efficient picture taking. Because of our experience, our initial imagery is great, but, we also Photoshop EVERY image afterwards to make each picture as perfect as possible. Few studios will do this. -
What are your rates?
It depends upon the event. Our website has complete pricing and service information for many kinds of events, but some have so many variables that it would be impossible to accurately quote prices without more information. Please call our studio anytime with specifics and we'll be happy to provide you with all the information you need to make a good buying decision. -
Do you require a deposit?
It depends entirely on the timing and type of event. However, as a rule, no. -
Can I keep the negatives?
You can keep any imagery, film or digital - but usually everything is digital these days. Clients often want a CD of their event. -
What is your photographic style?
Generally, by popular demand, I have a 'traditional' style, but I'm capable of shooting any event, any style you like. We discuss everything ahead of time, so I'll know exactly what you want and will do it as per your directions. -
How many pictures do you take?
As many as the event requires, with additional as back-ups. -
Do you provide black and white photography?
Of course. B&W or sepia can be made from any color imagery. -
How long does it take you to develop photos?
We can meet any deadline. However, generally 3-7 days. -
Do you use digital or film?
Primarily digital, but we have film capabilities. -
