We believe that a business needs an accountant to be engaged in their
business year round not just at tax time. This leads to a relationship
based on understanding your business and your particular needs such
as cash management, obtaining new or additional financing, monthly
financial statement preparation or review, tax planning, etc.

What differentiates us from other CPA firms is that our staff has both
public accounting as well as private industry experience in roles
varying from controller to CFO and in the case of Stephen Hartfield,
running a company. In our opinion, this private industry experience

  We provide excellent customer care and service. We will do all we can to ensure your experience with us is to your satisfaction, from the moment you contact us until all of your work is completed.
• What services do you provide? What are your specialities?
  We primarily cater to small to medium sized businesses. Within that realm we offer a full array of services: cash flow forecasting, financial projections, operational and financial budgets, monthly financial statements, financial statement compilations and reviews, tax planning and preparation. Our specialty is catching up and cleaning up accounting that has been neglected or improperly managed.
• What are your qualifications? What professional certifications do you have?
  I have thirty years of experience. 20 years in public accounting and 9 years working in various roles from controller to CFO to running a $13mm company. I am a Certified Public Accountant in California in good standing.
• How do you charge for your services?
  We charge an hourly rate for our services. We determine our rates based on the qualifications of the professional servicing your particular needs, not based on what we think we can charge you.

  Our firm's principal, Stephen Hartfield, CPA, and a number of other associates have both public accounting and private industry experience. We don't just quote what a textbook says how we should help you, we know first hand. This broad range of experience will help your business grow during the good times and help you stay in the black during the rough times.
• What are your qualifications and experience?
  Stephen Hartfield, CPA has been preparing C and S Corporation tax returns, partnership/LLC (since 1986) Tax Returns for 30 years. Our tax manager, Andy Epstein, CPA, has a Masters in Taxation and has also prepared returns for 30 plus years. Both have strong business and individual planning tax planning experience as well as hands-on practical experience in the case of Stephen Hartfield.
• Will you come to our location?
  We will definitely come to your location. We are here to serve you, and your company's needs.
• What are your rates?
  Our rates range from $55 an hour for basic accounting tasks to $150 per hour for consulting and tax work. There are varying rates in between these two rates that are applied for your particular needs.

  Aside from the experience of our staff, it's our philosophy that should attract you! We believe in tax planning as a proactive and dynamic way of driving your taxes down to a minimum.
