Do you have a customer satisfaction or refund policy?
I work very hard to make sure that your event is everything you want it to be. If afterwards you feel you didn't get your money's worth, I'll be more than happy to discuss a refund with you. So far, I've not had that problem after any of the hundreds of events I've done. -
What are your qualifications? Have you been professionally trained or certified?
I have been awarded WeddingWire's "Bride's Choice Award" for both 2011 and 2010 as one of the Washington area's top wedding professionals based on reviews that happy brides have posted on that website. I belong to the American DJ Association, a group of professionals who promote high standards of excellence in the DJ business. We run regular training programs to keep at the top of our game. -
What are your hourly rates?
Normal rate is $550 for the first three hours with an additional $100 each hour after that. However, I can offer special rates for schools and events on weekdays. -
Do you require a deposit? What is your cancellation policy?
I normally request a $200 down payment to hold the date, with the balance due at the event. Refunds for cancellation with good cause are no problem. -
What is your experience? How many events have you done?
I've performed at hundreds of events - weddings, anniversaries, birthday parties, school dances, bar mitzvahs, corporate and charity events -
Do you specialize in a specific genre of music?
No. I actually specialize in blending genres. Most events have guests from many ages and often many cultures. I'm expert at playing a mix of music that keeps everyone happy. -
Do you take requests?
That's completely up to you. Some of my clients ask me not to, but most want their guests to enjoy themselves and so they ask me to play requests and of course I do. I always recommend that you give me your "DO NO PLAY" list so that I will know if a request from a guest is something you might not want me to play. -
Can I provide my own music?
I'd love to work with you to make sure you're happy with the music at your event. I'm happy to play music you provide, although I have such a huge library, that isn't usually necessary. -
Do you have back-up equipment in case of failure?
Absolutely. In addition, I will burn your request songs onto CDs so that if I have a cumputer problem, I can instantly switch to them. -
Will you also be the Master of Ceremonies (MC)?
Absolutely. I highly suggest that you have me help you with all announcements. A quality DJ such as myself is a great asset at your event. I will keep your timeline on track, coordinate with your other vendors (photographer, venue, videographer, caterer)and stay in communication with you to be sure your event runs the way you planned it. -
What is your standard attire?
Whatever I am requested to wear - a suit and tie, a tuxedo or a Hawaiian shirt, I'm prepared to dress to your preference. No matter what attire is preferred, I will always be dressed in a classy and understated way. -
Are you insured?
Yes. I have a large liability policy through the Amer. Disc Jockey Assoc -
