Frequently Asked Questions |
Q. |
Do you have a customer satisfaction or refund policy? |
Our client relationships are governed by clear and simple client agreements signed by both client and advisor. All fees are specified before service begins, and investment fees may never be raised. Any client may end or modify their relationship with us without approval from Sovereign Wealth Solutions. |
Q. |
What are your qualifications? What is your education background? |
We specialize in retirement planning, financial planning, Capital Access Planning, and life insurance. Our strategies pay particular attention to risk-adjusted returns and efficient wealth transfer within family generations. Due to this focus, our strategies tend to be a bit more conservative and focus on wealth preservation and transfer. |
Q. |
How are you compensated? How will I pay for your services? |
We actively manage clients in both financial advisory and insurance planning. Our exact number of clients is kept confidential. References available upon request. |
Q. |
If you are going to manage my account, will you obtain my permission every time you buy or sell something? |
Mathew Coyle is the primary client contact. |
Q. |
How many clients do you currently manage? |
For investment management services: Your choice of fee for assets under management, hourly fees, or a one-time project fee. Please see our most recent fee schedule for an explanation of costs. Our most popular method is an annual fee for assets under management.
For life insurance: We are compensated through commissions paid by the receiving company. |
Q. |
Will you be the only person working with me? |
We ask that clients grant us trading authority over an account. A client may, at any time, choose to be notified before we change allocations inside an account. Sovereign Wealth Solutions does not, under any circumstances, take custody of client funds or securities. |
Q. |
Do you offer any guaranteed results? |
It is against state and federal securities regulations to guarantee investment returns. No advisor is legally allowed to promise or guarantee investment results. Past performance is no guarantee of future results. |
Q. |
How much risk should I be willing to take? |
Our strategies are designed to reduce risk in client accounts while achieving an appropriate risk-adjusted return. How much risk a client should take depends on client goals, investment experience, and specific income needs. |
Q. |
Have you ever been charged with any breaches? |
We have never been charged with any state or federal breaches. We have been a member of the MN Better Business Bureau with no registered complaints since our founding. |

Q. |
What is your approach to 401 K plan rollovers? |
First is to determine if the client will work past the age of required distributions. If so, it is often more advantageous to manage assets based on a planning relationship rather than rollover. We insist on trustee-to-trustee transfers as this is the easiest for the client and eliminates any accidental taxable distributions. |
Q. |
How long does the process of rolling over a 401K plan usually take? |
It depends on where the funds are currently held, but usually 2-4 weeks. |
