Business Description |
| Our process begins with something simple– listening and discovering. We recognize that each individual and family is unique and no two client situations are alike. Individuals, families and entrepreneurs can’t be described in dollars and cents, ratios and percentage points. Your true net worth is found in your hopes and dreams, your history and experience. Investment of time up front, getting to truly know our clients, helps guide future financial decisions and enriches the experience for all. |

Frequently Asked Questions |
 |
| Q. |
Do you have a customer satisfaction or refund policy? |
| |
We aim for 100% customer satisfaction. Although we cannot guaranty investment results, we will work very hard to make sure we are listening to your needs and doing everything possible to meet your goals. |
|
| Q. |
What are your qualifications? What is your education background? |
| |
Darlene Murphy is a CPA and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™. She works with clients in a fiduciary capacity, meaning clients' interests come first. Darlene holds an MBA from Babson College, and a B.A. in Accounting and Finance from Simmons College. She is a recipient of the Douglass Prize for Entrepreneurship, and was also a recipient of the Massachusetts Society of CPAs student award. |
|
| Q. |
What is your approach to financial planning? |
| |
We believe financial planning is a means to an end. We use financial planning tools in a modular fashion, focusing on the areas where clients need the most help first. Long-term, sensible plans do not come from out of a software program, but rather from thoughtful, directed effort.
Our approach to investing is conservative, limiting risk while seeking upside. |
|
| Q. |
What services do you offer? |
| |
Sudbury Wealth Management offers planning services in a variety of areas including family resource management, investment planning and management, insurance analysis, and estate and tax planning. |
|
| Q. |
How many clients do you currently manage? |
| |
We work with fewer than 100 clients. |
|
| Q. |
Will you be the only person working with me? |
| |
Darlene Murphy personally works with all clients. |
|
| Q. |
If you are going to manage my account, will you obtain my permission every time you buy or sell something? |
| |
No. We work on a discretionary basis, within the framework of a strategy that we have agreed upon. Our services for investment management are governed by a written agreement, and funds are custodied with a national brokerage firm. |
|
| Q. |
Do you offer any guaranteed results? |
| |
No. Registered investment advisors are not permitted to guaranty results. Even if it were permitted, the world of investing involves risks. We work diligently with each client to examine risk tolerance and to create portfolios that correspond with your ability to tolerate fluctuations and risk. |
|
| Q. |
How much risk should I be willing to take? |
| |
This is a very personal question. We will engage in a detailed review of your current holdings and your history. We will ask a series of questions, and then rate what we perceive your risk tolerance to be, and discuss this directly with you. |
|
| Q. |
Have you ever been charged with any breaches? |
| |
No. Sudbury Wealth Management, Inc. and Darlene Murphy, as well as their affiliate, Wellesley Investment Advisors, have clean compliance records. |
|
| Q. |

| |
Darlene Murphy has approximately 25 yrs of experience working with individuals and families in regard to their personal and small business finances. We work with fewer than 100 clients. |
|
| Q. |
What financial institution(s) do you represent? |
| |
We are independent and unaffiliated with any financial institution. |
|
| Q. |
How do you charge for your services? |
| |
We are a FEE ONLY advisory firm. This means that we derive fees solely from fees paid to us by our clients. We do not sell anything, or take any product commissions. |
|
| Q. |
Do you provide a free initial consultation? |
| |
Yes, we believe an initial free consultation (approximately one hour) is helpful to both parties to explore areas where Sudbury Wealth Management, Inc. might be able to help, and to determine if there is a good "fit." |
|
| Q. |
Why should I choose you as my financial advisor? |
| |
I am passionate about helping people preserve and improve their financial situation, so that they can in turn, improve and enrich their lives. |
|
| Q. |
What are your management fees? |
| |
Fees to company sponsored plans are negotiable. |
|
| Q. |
What kind of plans do you specialize in? |
| |
We can work with any type of 401(k) or similar plan. |
|
| Q. |
Do you have a minimum requirement for number of employees or total investment value? |
|
| Q. |
Do you offer any additional services? |
| |
We can work, on a fee basis, for 401(k) participants who need help in reviewing their options. |
|
| Q. |
What are your qualifications? |
| |
We have successfully facilitated many 401(k) rollovers. |
|
| Q. |
What is your approach to 401 K plan rollovers? |
| |
We believe in most cases that ex-employees benefit from rolling the 401(k) dollars out to an IRA for purposes of flexibility and greater investment options. However every case is individual and we review the entire situation before commencing a rollover. |
|
| Q. |
How long does the process of rolling over a 401K plan usually take? |
| |
Typically, a rollover will take about 10 days. |
|
| Q. |
What financial institutions do you represent? |
| |
Sudbury Wealth Management, Inc. is completely independent and does not represent any financial institution. |
|
| Q. |
How many years of experience do you have? |
| |
Darlene Murphy has approximately 25 years of experience working with individuals and families regarding their personal finances. |

| |

|
| Q. |

| |
We are very skilled in facilitating this important transaction, and very careful about not triggering tax consequences. |
