Frequently Asked Questions |
 |
| Q. |
What is your approach to financial planning? |
| |
My approach to financial planning is making sure that we develop a comprehensive plan. It is important to include a variety of different factors and goals. We always work hand in hand with our clients to make sure they understand what we are recommending and they are comfortable with the plan. |
|
| Q. |
What services do you offer? |
| |
We offer a wide range of services. We develop accumulation strategies as well as income strategies for retirement planning. We offer education savings plans and other more generic savings strategies. We also provide life insurance and long term care solutions. |
|
| Q. |
Will you be the only person working with me? |
| |
I work in cooperation with the other advisors in our firm to provide the clients experience and expertise in a variety of areas. |
|
| Q. |
How are you compensated? How will I pay for your services? |
| |
I am compensated in a variety of ways. Depending on what the client's goals are we can set up an arrangement where I am compensated by the commissions the investments generate or I can work on a fee based platform. It all depends on what the client is most comfortable with. |
|
| Q. |
If you are going to manage my account, will you obtain my permission every time you buy or sell something? |
| |
All of the accounts that we manage require that we obtain the client's permission before processing any buy or sell transaction. We feel it is very important that our clients know what we are doing with their investments. |
|
| Q. |
How much risk should I be willing to take? |
| |
The risk a client is willing to take is their decision. We help counsel our clients depending on their unique situation to determine how much risk would be appropriate. We have solutions for clients that are completely risk averse as well as clients with long term goals and are willing to accept more risk. |
|
| Q. |
Have you ever been charged with any breaches? |
|
| Q. |
What carrier(s) do you represent? |
| |
We are independent advisors. We are able to use all of the top insurance companies to try to find the best deal for our clients. |
|
| Q. |
How long does it take to complete the application and approval process? |
| |
From start to finish the life insurance application process can take 3-6 weeks. Much of this time depends on how quickly the client's physician sends the medical records to the insurance company for approval. |
|
| Q. |
Is there a maximum age that you can insure? |
| |
Each insurance company has their own requirements for age when it comes to life insurance. If you have a specific age in mind, let me know and I would be happy to contact the carriers we work with to find out. |
|

| |
We are the best choice for financial advisors because we are independent and can provide unbiased advice on reaching your financial goals. Our firm also has over 25 years of experience. |
|
| Q. |
What are your management fees? |
| |
Our management fees depend on which platform we decide to use with our clients. The size of the assets are the biggest factor in determining what the fees will end up being. In all cases, fees are disclosed up front so the client is aware of what the cost will be. |

| |
Our additional services include employee education meetings and benefit consulting for plan sponsors. This includes any updates on plan design and regulations. |
|
| Q. |
What is your approach to Education Planning? |
| |
We try to start early when it comes to saving for college. Just like any investment, the more time we have to save, the easier it is to reach the goal. By using our planning software we can forecast the cost of college many years down the road. |
|

An account can be established and funded within a week. |

Yes, we always offer free initial consultations. |
|
| Q. |
What is your approach to 401 K plan rollovers? |

First we determine what the client's goals are, then we determine an appropriate investment vehicle base on those goals. Finally we monitor the investment to ensure that it is performing as needed. |
|
| Q. |
How long does the process of rolling over a 401K plan usually take? |
| |
The process usually takes 2 weeks. It usually depends on how long the 401k company takes to process the distribution. The faster they send the check, the faster the account can be set up. |
