• What are your qualifications? Have you been professionally trained or certified?
  Kavan received a film degree from Emerson College in Boston, MA in 2002. There he learned not only how to use a camera, but more importantly how to tell a story with one. He has been shooting professionally since 2005.
• What packages do you offer? What are your rates?
  We offer packages for practically every budget. Our base "package" starts at just $1200. However, instead of rigid, set packages with limited-to-no flexibility we offer custom packages based on your wants and needs. Contact us so that we can design a custom package just for you.
• Do you require a deposit?
  A $200 deposit is required to hold the date of your wedding.
• How many pictures do you take?
  In order to capture all of the moments on your special day, there is no limit to the number of pictures we'll take. However, on average there is usually between 1,000-1,5000 pictures taken over eight hours of coverage.
• Can I keep the negatives?
  All of our packages include a DVD of the high resolution images (digital negatives) from both your engagement session and wedding.
• What is your photographic style?
  Our style can best be described as photojournalistic. We are there to document the important events and capture the special moments of your day while staying as unobtrusive as possible so as not to serve as a distraction for your guests.
• Do you provide black and white photography?
  We do have an option to create a set of black and white images from any pictures you choose. We don't simply remove the color during this process; we manually adjust the tone and exposure on each image to create stunning black and white images filled with emotion.
• Do you use digital or film?
  We shoot in digital as this format provides incredible flexibility and helps us keep our prices down as we don't need to purchase film stock and have it developed.
• Can I see examples of your work?
  Absolutely! We wouldn't want you to book us if you hadn't! Our online portfolio is available at: www.kavanmurphy.com
• How far are you willing to travel?
  World wide! The farthest we've traveled to shoot a wedding so far is Hawaii, and we're always open to new destinations!
• How quickly will I receive my prints?
  All of the images from your wedding will be available for online viewing for both you and your friends and family within four weeks from the wedding date.
• What makes you different from other photographers?
  Our outstanding customer service. What good is having a photographer who takes amazing photos, but never responds to your questions, doesn't provide detailed information or just plain isn't easy to work with? Sure, we take beautiful pictures, but a lot of photographers take great photos. What sets us apart is our friendly and responsive service.
