I have yet to have an unhappy client, so it hasn't come up yet. However, I consider my job to be to produce not just pictures, but satisfied customers. Should I fail to satisfy, I would be happy to negotiate an equitable refund.

Q.	What are your qualifications? Have you been professionally trained or certified?
I've attended a number or training seminars and forums, but I am generally self-taught. I have 25 years of experience as an avid amateur before turning professional in 2000.

Q.	What packages do you offer? What are your rates?
I keep it simple. I charge $90 per hour with a $90 booking fee and a $900 minimum per wedding. The number of hours of shooting varies depending on the travel involved and the number of optional "extras" included, but generally it comes to 4-5 hours of event coverage with all the "extras".

Q.	Do you require a deposit?
Yes, 50% of the final contracted fee upfront, with the balance due at the completion of the event.

Q.	How many pictures do you take?
Generally 50-100 photos per hour, and about 10% of those are edited out before delivery.

Q.	Can I keep the negatives?
Yes, the full-resolution "digital negatives" are included in the price of my services.

Q.	How many weddings have you photographed?
I average 10-15 weddings per year, which has placed the total well over 100.

Q.	What is your photographic style?
Primarily photojournalistic but I'm happy to do artistic portraits if time is allowed for it.

Q.	Do you provide black and white photography?
The nice thing about digital photography is that any image can be converted to black and white. I'm happy to provide that and many other post-production services.

Q.	Do you use digital or film?
I can do either, but I strongly recommend digital for weddings since it allows me to confirm the quality of the results as I'm shooting, and it reduces the risk of lab errors.

Q.	Can I see examples of your work?
Absolutely! My website (WWW.LENSMAN.COM) displays the complete sets of delivered photos from recent weddings, and selected photos from earlier events.

Q.	How far are you willing to travel?
No limit, if expenses are covered.

Q.	How quickly will I receive my prints?
Digital negatives are delivered within 1 week, and photos are viewable online much sooner (usually within 2-3 days).

Q.	What makes you different from other photographers?
I keep my overhead and my rates very low. In this economy that is very important, both to me and to my customers. I don't force a lot of extras like photo albums, but make them available through 3rd party vendors who produce excellent work. I also offer some popular free extras like Engagement Portraits and discounts for out-of-season weddings.
