Q.  Do you have a customer satisfaction or refund policy?
Yes, but to date, nobody has ever had to use it! I take that back... I did refund a client her entire deposit recently because she had to move her wedding from Chicago to the St. Louis area... but I suppose that's a positive thing for her! She was very happy and surprised that I insisted on a full refund for her.

Q.  What are your qualifications? Have you been professionally trained or certified?
I am a court-qualified expert in the areas of Forensic Photography, Forensic Videography and Forensic Audio. I have been trained in documentary photography at the college level in both black & white photography and color photography. In addition, I have worked in professional photography since 1990. I am also a current member of WPPI - Wedding and Portrait Photographers International.

Q.  What packages do you offer? What are your rates?
I believe in offering my clients what they want and charge only for services they need. Flexibility is one reason my clients choose me over other photographers and I price my services according to what my clients have asked me to do. We can review these when we meet.

Q.  Do you require a deposit?
Yes. Like many professional photographers, I require a 50% retainer at the time of booking.

Q.  How many pictures do you take?
Since offering digital photography, I find that I shoot many more photos than with film! I am currently averaging between 800-1200 images for most weddings when shot digitally. Each wedding is different so the quantity of shots will vary. Each image is corrected in Photoshop and printed in "Final Print" quality given to my clients as a 4x6 color print.

Q.  Can I keep the negatives?
Yes. Your digital files are available to you if you want them. You can receive them when you receive your prints. This means you can make additional reprints through me or do them yourself at a local lab to save money!

Q.  How many weddings have you photographed?
Hard to estimate over so many years... but it's hundreds :)

Q.  What is your photographic style?
I offer a combination of photojournalistic / documentary style along with traditional wedding photography. I have found that many families like some posed "group" shots of relatives and friends along with the photojournalistic images I offer. However, the majority of the images are taken photojournalistically.

Q.  Do you provide black and white photography?
Yes. With digital, ALL images shot in color are also converted to quality Black & White! Flexibility is what defines digital!

Q.  Do you use digital or film?
I used to photograph weddings with film cameras from Nikon and Hasselblad (35mm and 2-1/4" medium format) but today, my clients and I prefer the flexibility of digital! I use only professional grade equipment and bring lots of backup gear to every wedding.

Q.  Can I see examples of your work?
Yes. I have many sample albums to show my clients and prefer to meet in person to review them. There are also sample images on my website at www.russlowe.com as well as my daily "blog" site at www.russlowe.blogspot.com

Q.  How far are you willing to travel?
Typically I will travel up to 50 miles without added travel expenses, but would be willing to travel farther if reimbursed for travel.

Q.  How quickly will I receive my prints?
Typically, images are ready within about 4 weeks.

Q.  What makes you different from other photographers?
My past clients have commented that they and their guests enjoyed my sense of humor and mild mannerism. I treat all my clients and their guests with respect and my photographs reflect that. Because I am well trained in documentary-styled photography, I shoot fast and accurately while offering a creative flair. Reliability and the trust of professional competence is also mentioned by my clients.
