| Frequently Asked Questions |
 |
| Q. |
Do you have a customer satisfaction or refund policy? |
| |
Yes; If a client is dissatisfied with the results of my work or services, I will refund 100% of the money invested. |

| |
Please see the section above on what makes me different from other photographers. |
|
| Q. |
What are your rates? |
| |
My rates normally begin at $2,000. I do sometimes make exceptions to this (ie: if a wedding is outside my normal season, etc.). |
|
| Q. |
Do you require a deposit? |
| |
Yes. I normally require 50% of the total package amount to secure a booking, and the remaining balance within ten days of completion of the wedding date. |
|
| Q. |
What packages do you offer? |
| |
I normally created customized types of coverages, starting at $2,000. I sometimes makes exceptions to this (ie: for an off-season wedding, etc.). |
|

There is generally no limit to the number of images I take. It could range between 200-1,000, depending upon how long I am hired for. |
|
| Q. |
Can I keep the negatives? |
| |
Presently, I do offer an option where my clients may keep the original high-resolution digital image files. I may discontinue this at some point withing the next year or so. |
|
| Q. |
What is your photographic style? |
| |
My style is primarily very creative and natural, documentary-style wedding photojournalism. I like to describe it as fine-art wedding photojournalism with a soul. I do however almost always create carefully and creatively done "formal" group photos, etc. |
|
| Q. |
Do you provide black and white photography? |
| |
Yes. I provide any approximate ratio of black and white imagery to color imagery my clients desire. |
|
| Q. |
Do you use digital or film? |
| |
I shoot exclusively professional-grade digital (currently I own several Canon 10D 6.3 megapixel cameras with Canon L series professional-grade lenses, and much other equipment). |
|
| Q. |
Can I see examples of your work? |
| |
Yes. You may start by going to http://photos.yahoo.com/rkaussner, and then try my new (almost completed) website, which is http://www.rkaussnerphoto.com/index.htm. From there, click on "view our portfolio" to view some recently created images. |
|
| Q. |
How far are you willing to travel? |
| |
I sometimes travel nationwide, but the majority of my business currently takes place within a 100 mile radius of Ithaca, New York (including Rochester, Syracuse, Utica, Albany, Elmira, Corning, etc.). |
|
| Q. |
How quickly will I receive my prints? |
| |
Currently, I am delivering proof images within six weeks after the wedding. I am working on decreasing this significantly. |
|
| Q. |
What makes you different from other photographers? |
| |
Unlike most other wedding photographers, I have a Bachelor's Degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology where I studied Professional Photography, am a graduate of Kodak's Professional Imaging Technical Sales Representative formal training program, produced and presented photographic seminars for Kodak in sixty cities per year for several years, and have worked as an assistant for three of the world's top photographers (two advertizing and fashion photographers, and one of the world's top wedding photographers). Therefore, I bring significant fashion, fine-art, advertising, and wedding photography experience to my clients.
Also, I am very passionate about my work, and am extremely personable, and highly professional. |

How many weddings have you photographed? |
| |
I have photographed several hundred weddings over the past twenty four years. This past season, I phhotographed twenty three weddings. |
|

My style is primarily very creative and natural, documentary-style wedding photojournalism. I like to describe it as fine-art wedding photojournalism with a soul. I do however almost always create carefully and creatively done "formal" group photos, etc. |

Do you use digital or film? |
| |
I shoot exclusively professional-grade digital (currently I own several Canon 10D 6.3 megapixel cameras with Canon L series professional-grade lenses, and much other equipment). I am absolutely convinced that the quality of digital photography as created by most true professionals now exceeds that of film based upon thorough scientific testing and analysis. |
