Q.	What is the type of Laser you use?
We use a variety of lasers, including diode, Alexandrite and Nd:Yag lasers, as well as other light based treatment devices including IPL.

Q.	What areas can be treated?
Facial areas (lip, chin, etc.); Small body areas (underarms, bikini, etc); and Larger body areas (full back, legs, arms, etc)

Q.	Can you treat any skin types and or colors?
We can safely treat all skin types, however results vary and the number of treatments required to achieve desired results can also vary.

Q.	How many treatments does it take?
The laser works by disabling hairs that are in their active growth cycle at the time of treatment. Since other hairs will enter their growth cycles at different times, 5-10 treatments or more will typically be necessary to disable all of the follicles in a given area.

Q.	How long does it last--is it permanent?
The lasers used at Reveal MedSpa have received FDA approval for "permanent hair reduction".

Q.	How does laser compare to electrolysis?
Lasers are precise instruments that can be adjusted to the exact parameters that will specifically disable the hair follicle. The laser uses a wide beam that treats many hairs at once instead of treating hair-by-hair like electrolysis. Because of this, large areas such as legs, arms, or backs can be treated in a short amount of time.

Q.	How long does a treatment take?
Because the laser treats many hairs at a time, facial areas (lip, chin, etc.) can be treated in 5-10 minutes. Small body areas (underarms, bikini, etc.) take less than 15 minutes. Larger body areas (full back, legs, arms. etc.) usually take about 30 to 60 minutes depending on the size of the area.

Individual treatments range from under $200 to $600 depending on the area being treated

Q.	Is there any special skin care needed before a treatment?
Each client is assessed by a medical professional who will provide pretreatment instructions.

Q.	Are there any side effects?
As with any medical treatment, side effects can occur. Our medical professionals have client safety as their first priority, and are trained to prevent side effects, and to effectively address any side effects that do occur.

Q.	How is the skin after the treatment?
Within several minutes of the treatment, the treated area may become slightly red. This reaction subsides within a few minutes to a few hours and the area returns to normal. Since the laser does not burn or cut the skin in any way, no bandages are necessary. You are able to reapply your make-up, return to work, and continue with your normal daily activities.

While some areas can be more sensitive than others, most individuals describe the feeling as a stinging sensation.

Most of our treatments are non-invasive so no recovery time is needed. You may resume your daily routine immediately. Treatments can even be done during a client's lunch break.
