Do you have a customer satisfaction or refund policy?
I have never had an occassion to need such a policy, however I do state in my contracts that should the unprecedented occurance of my not being able to fulfill said contract, I will refund full balance including retainer. -
What are your qualifications? Have you been professionally trained or certified?
Right now there is no actual certification for DJ's that is recognized throughout the Industry. I am affiliated with the two largest associations, N.A.M.E. and the ADJA and I am a Moderator of the General Conversation Board at ProDJ.com, the leading on-line educational resource for Mobile DJ's and a contributing Professor to DJUniversity, our self-paced College of DJ Knowledge. -
What are your hourly rates?
I do not charge by the hour, since I usually only do one event per day, I charge by the event...with six hours being the longest most events go, beyond that time frame, overtime charges acrue by the half-hour. -
Do you require a deposit? What is your cancellation policy?
A retainer is required at the signing of the contracts for me to hold your date exclusively for you and your event. Client gives a minimum of 30 days advance written notice of cancellation...retainer is forfiet. Cancellation inside of 29 days or less of event will obligate Client to paying the full contracted amount prior to passage of event date. Extenuating circumstances may apply. -
What is your experience? How many events have you done?
I have done literally hundreds of events in several States over the last twenty-six years. From Receptions to Divorces, Baptisms to Funerals...and anything else you can imagine in between! -
Do you specialize in a specific genre of music?
I have music spanning about nine decades, but I would have to say that the 50's, 60's and 70's are some of my favorites! -
Do you take requests?
Of course I do, what better way to find out what people want to dance to? -
Can I provide my own music?
I will accept your musical contributions to the success of the event, sometimes there are styles and ethnicities of music that my library does not have enough of! I will care for your discs as if they were my own and I will be sure to return them to you at the conclusion of the event. -
Do you have back-up equipment in case of failure?
My systems are built for performance. Quality, professional gear designed for the rigors of use on the road. All systems are function tested prior to the event. But, to get back to the question, Yes...after twenty-six years of DJ'ing, you accumulate stuff in your garage! I have enough equipment to field four systems, so redundancy is not a problem...so redundancy is not a problem... ;) -
Will you also be the Master of Ceremonies (MC)?
I certainly can be, if that is necessary. I have spent many hours on the air with various radio stations, also writing copy for commercials and producing them...many people say I should be in radio, and I agree, I definitely have the face for it!!! -
What is your standard attire?
I can usually be seen wearing a Tuxedo, but I am more than happy to dress to fit your event...all the way down to shorts and a hawaiian shirt if that's what you want! -
Are you insured?
Yes, by Smith & Wesson...LOL! -
How are you different from other disc jockeys?
I do not perform as a sideline or a hobby, this is my only full-time occupation...this is what I do for a living! This means I care a whole lot about making your event as magical as you've dreamt it would be. Happy customers tell their friends!
