What are your qualifications? Have you been professionally trained or certified? |
| |
Yes, I have been formally educated in a college setting specifically in photography. I have taken dozens of classes on lighting, composition, PhotoShop, specialized printing, etc. I was also accepted for an internship by the most sought after wedding and portrait photographer in Central Texas. I assisted with him for two years and learned all the ins and outs of the industry. |

How many pictures do you take? |
| |
Lots! I can't give you an exact number because every situation is unique. As a general rule I almost always take at least 200 pictures at each shoot. Some are "warm-up" shots to get everybody comfortable, some are posed group pictures, some are serious, some are playful... I like to make sure all my bases are covered so that I can give you exactly what you are looking for. |

Can I keep the negatives? |

I shoot with digital so there aren't any actual "negatives". I do sell digital image files on DVD though. Every image DVD purchased comes with a copyright release that legally allows you to do whatever you wish with the photos. |

What is your photographic style? |

I would consider myself a creative lifestyle photographer. I'm not purely photojournalistic because I don't leave my subjects entirely as I found them. Then again, I wouldn't consider myself a very "formal" and "posey" photographer either. I want your portrait experience to be a memory to treasure and the photographs to be cherished for a lifetime. |

Absolutely. All of my digital images are shot in full color and can be converted to black and white in post-production. I can also do selective color, hand-painted prints, sepia toning, and much more! |

Digital. I shoot with the Canon 5D Mark II which is a top-shelf professional-grade full-frame digital camera and use Canon lenses and flashes exclusively. |

How quickly will I receive my prints? |

I pride myself on having one the fastest turnaround times in the business. Your images will be ready for viewing within two weeks from your session. How quickly you receive your prints after ordering them depends largely on what you ordered. Some custom pieces take longer than others. |

I know that these pictures are really about memories. They tell the story of the family they capture. Some photographers would rather have their art in a gallery... I'd rather have mine in your home. After all, home is where the heart is. |
