I help others to find satisfying solutions to life's sometimes difficult problems. I do this through asking the right questions, offering support and understanding when faced with painful or difficult situations, and encouraging new directions and approaches. There are certain skills that I bring that increase the effectiveness of therapy. These include empathy and respect for those with whom I work, a developing understanding of what the other is struggling with and working through, and a sense of humor to help bring perspective and warmth. The process of therapy is intimate and emotional. Having a good fit with your therapist is essential. One of the best ways to know if you have a good fit, is to sit with the therapist in a session and find out for yourself if you feel understood and helped. I provide psychotherapy for individuals, couples, and families. I have offices in Kentfield in Marin County and in Petaluma and Santa Rosa in Sonoma County.

  I have provided psychotherapy for over 10 years. I have a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology and am licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist. I work with those dealing with stresses related to life transitions, difficult changes and other stressors. I also work with depression, anxiety, social fears, work related problems, issues of moving forward in your life, and mental illness.
