| Frequently Asked Questions |
 |
| Q. |
What are your qualifications? Have you been professionally trained or certified? |
| |
I have two bachelor's degrees in Studio Art and Art Education. While in college I had a dual emphasis in photography and painting. I believe that my education has provided me with a truly contemporary and unique approach to photography services. |

| Q. |
What packages do you offer? What are your rates? |
| |
I believe that everyone deserves beautiful wedding photography. I am proud to offer my clients both packages and a la carte services. I am happy to work with each couple individually to determine pricing based on the amount of time photographing and which accessories they may desire. |
|
| Q. |
Do you require a deposit? |
| |
I require a $250 deposit to guaruntee the wedding date. This deposit counts towards the overall total cost. |
|
| Q. |
How many pictures do you take? |
| |
It depends on the amount of time requested. Usually, I average about seventy five candid shots per hour, posed pictures take a little bit longer to capture. |
|
| Q. |
Can I keep the negatives? |
| |
Every wedding client receives both retouched and unaltered digital images on CD. Image copyrights are included in all packages. |
|
| Q. |
How many weddings have you photographed? |
| |
I have been photographing weddings since 2000 so it's been quite a few!!! |
|
| Q. |
What is your photographic style? |
| |
I work in a combination of candid/photojournalistic and posed/traditional. While I believe that the best photos are ones which capture the spontaneity of the day, I understand the need for elegantly posed images. |
|
| Q. |
Do you provide black and white photography? |
| |
All digital wedding photography packages include all pictures in black & white in addition to color. |
|
| Q. |
Do you use digital or film? |
| |
Depending on the individual needs and budget of my clients I am happy to shoot digital, film, or both. I still enjoy the beautiful grain and archival quality of a great film image to images but I also appreciate the artistic freedom offered by software aided enhancement. |
|
| Q. |
Can I see examples of your work? |
|
| Q. |
How far are you willing to travel? |
| |
I am based in Humboldt County and travel throughout Northern California and Southern Oregon. |
|
| Q. |
What makes you different from other photographers? |
| |
I'm a little wacky on wedding days. I love the high energy and happiness that surrounds the couple. I am not bossy or too particular when it comes to posing the traditional shots. I let the people and the place influence the feeling of the final images. |
